As a reward for their dedication this season, not just when they had matches, but turning up week in week out, whatever the conditions, to train, Seghill's young players were rewarded with a day of paintballing at the Delta Force paintball centre in Cramlington.
Colts coach Mick Mclean, suggested the event as an end of season reward for the players who have shown the most commitment to the club, and as a team building and tactics excercise. So with his assistants, Cav Cavaliero and Dan Townshend, he took along 21 players from his squad and from the U15's, including Glen Sidaway, who has been unable to play the latter part of the season after breaking his arm in the home match against Gosforth.
Everyone had a great day day, despite a few bruises from direct hits, and the green team, led by Mick McLean defeated their opponents 110 - 6, and recorded the highest overall score on the day.
It is hoped to repeat the event next season.
