The combined team of Plymouth Albion U18's and Taunton Fillies ended the season on a high with a hard-fought win over the Baa Baa's (Exeter, Tavistock and Cirencester)
Baa Baas started strong with two early tries putting Albion/Fillies on the backfoot, but they soon responded and managed to go into half time with a one point lead.
The second half saw Baa Baas open strongly again, scoring a try but quick thinking from albion scrum-half Jess, which was also converted by her, after being awarded a penalty, put Albion/Fillies back in front. Despite several injuries, both teams played good rugby. Albion/Fillies scored from a textbook catch and drive at the lineout. Baa Baas were determined to score again and came close to doing so but Albion/Fillies defended well and held out for the win.
Final score was 22-21.
