South African centre Bryan Rennie has joined Chiefs from Premiership side London Irish.
The 23-year-old previously played for Border Reivers as well as the Scottish club Watsonians for whom he scored more than 20 tries in the 2005/06 season.
Ryan qualifies as a European player through his Aberdeen-born father. Before travelling to Scotland to join Watsonians he played for Durban Collegians and the Natal Sharks U20s.
Exeter Chiefs’ director of rugby Pete Drewett said: “Bryan comes to us with a wealth of top flight experience at London Irish. We are already looking forward to working with him. I am certain he will make a significant contribution throughout next season.”
