Rugby league full back Motu Tony has joined Nottingham Rugby on a one-month trial ahead of the 2010/11 season.

The 29-year-old Samoan has represented the New Zealand Warriors, Brisbane Broncos, Castleford Tigers and more recently Hull FC and Whitehaven RLFC.

He also boasts 18 international caps for the New Zealand Kiwis rugby league side, winning the Tri-Nations in 2005.

Director of Rugby Glenn Delaney is pleased to have him on board, saying: "He has had an extremely successful career in RL playing for his country and in the Super League.

"He is making the transition to playing rugby union at the moment. It's not a completely foreign game to him as he had played as a youngster.

"We are working through a four week period initially to see how it goes for both parties."
