Woodbridge present Help for Heroes with £12,760 cheque

Woodbridge Rugby Club (WRUFC), home of the Warriors and Amazons senior men’s and women’s rugby teams, presented Roger Willison-Gray regional co-ordinator of Help for Heroes with a cheque for £12,760 at the Club last Saturday 27th March. The significant contribution was raised at the Dick Waterson Challenge match and fun day sponsored by HB Commercial of Felixstowe and Harwich in October last year.
Mr Willison-Gray thanked the Club, and in particular organiser Simon Bennett, and awarded it a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of the contribution.

The charity rugby match involved players from clubs across East Anglia and as far away as Birkenhead and New Brighton. Players had to be over 35 to play so there were some 2000 years of rugby talent on display.
