Supermarine put their winning boots on yesterday to beat Bristol side, Old Redcliffians, one player down. A crucial bonus point was earned after a string of defeats, a feeling of relief, as Marine were heading too near the wrong end of the table. Supermarine maintained forward momentum from the kick off dominating the game with both possession and territory throughout. Scrummaging was forceful throughout with Marine's hooker, Amy Walford, stealing the ball on a few occasions, Driving rucks gained ground on several occasions, as did some good lines of running from the backs. First half saw Marine cross the line on 4 occasions following good support and popping out of contact.
Little went wrong for Marine on the day but credit is due to Old Reds, keeping up the pressure, making Marine work for their win throughout.
