Due to the cold weather and snow, it has been a while since our last newsletter. Since Christmas the 1st XV have had the majority of our games postponed due to the condition of the pitches we were due to play on. The 2nd XV have suffered a similar fate, but will be looking to consolidate after an excellent performance in their recent fixture against the Mackie 2nds. With the snow melting and the ground a little softer at the moment, there should be plenty of rugby coming up to keep everyone busy.
PROMOTION LEAGUE - Garioch vs RAF Lossiemouth - 20/03/2010
This weekend the promotion league kicks off for the 1st XV when we face RAF Lossiemouth at Kellands Park. This is sure to be a great match with both sides having recently won their respective leagues. In order for us to be in the hunt for promotion this season, we will need to be at our best on the weekend to ensure another home win.
Kick-off is at 2pm - we encourage everyone to make the effort to come down to Kellands to support the 1st XV in this vital fixture.
2nd XV vs Aberdeen University OTC
The 2nds have also got a fixture on Saturday against Aberdeen University OTC. Despite the long break between games, the seconds will be looking to continue with another strong performance this weekend. Kick off is at 1:30pm.
If you are interested in playing, let Paul Gordon know.

With the promotion league now just a few days away and a big performance needed on Saturday, it would be great to see everyone down at training both nights this week to prepare for what is sure to be a tough game.
