Stourbridge RFC are exploring every avenue to ensure that the game between the England Counties XV and an AIB Ireland Club XV on Friday, February 26, 2010 (7.30) at Stourton Park is made available to the widest audience any Counties game has ever achieved.

The Midlands club are directing their efforts not only towards every RU fan in the region - and to casual spectators in the process - but they are also teaming up with its broadcast partner 102.5 The Bridge and specialist Midlands sport agency Write Angle Media to ensure that the match is available to rugby fans across the rest of the country.

>From a local perspective, RU supporters in the Midlands can watch the game for £5, a tremendous pricing concession in the current sporting market-place.

With Under 16s getting free admission, the club is making every effort to ensure that the decision to locate the game at Stourton Park is justified by a generous attendance.

In addition to looking after 'the locals' with an attractive pricing policy, the club is also catering from supporters with Counties affiliations from further afield who are not able to attend the game by arranging live coverage of the game.

102.5 The Bridge will provide live commentary, through it's website www.thebridgeradio.net, with Write Angle's rugby specialist, former RFU panel match official Paul Smith, and Stourbridge back-row forward Ben Griffiths providing expert analysis to complement Adam Parkes' and Alex Totney's commentary.

Stourbridge Commercial Manager Ian Wilson said: "We hope this allows our rugby friends from the likes of Tynedale, Cambridge, Esher and London Scottish to follow their players when they are representing the Counties side."

Said England Counties Manager Danny Hodgson: "Our team is drawn from 11 clubs as far apart as Tynedale and Redruth, Cambridge and Macclesfield, so it is inevitable that there will be parents and supporters of the Counties XV who will not be able to attend the game.

"I'm delighted to see the club doing their best to remove any commercial obstacles to Midlands people getting to the game and supporting the team and also to catering for Counties supporters who want to stay in close touch with the game, but cannot be there." said England Counties Manager Danny Hodgson.

"Stourbridge are doing a great job and everything points to a competitive game and a great rugby occasion."
