Nottinghamians finish season in style

Nottinghamians RFC finished off the season in fine style , blooding several youngsters in their 22 nil away victory at Derby University . Four tries to nil was scant reward considering the dominant forward platform created . Skipper Mike Leavey substitiuted veteran prop Rod Exton shortly in the second half on safety grounds as both his front row collegues Ben Robinson and Paul 'Mozza' Morriss had both got on the score sheet from 5 yards out and the thought of him scoring from a gap of 20years was unbearable to think of . Roy Yorke cemented himself as top first team points scorer with a touchdown in the corner late in the first half . Matthew Draper the everygreen utility back got his full house for the season by playing at outside centre and typically slotted over a single conversion , before his suggested sabbitical next year .
Nottinghamians RFC travel to Stamford next week to renewal fixtures between the old boys club , reminiscent of before the league structures were introduced . The traditional foriegn excursion signs off the season with over 35 touring to Amsterdam to play both local and french sides . Past players who are joining us their are flying in from London , Dublin , Paris and Moscow !
