Towcestrians were forced into playing ‘A’ and ‘B’ sides to uphold the Old Laurentians fixtures after injuries to players in Wednesdays Alliance Cup Final. Sadly, Tows slipped to defeat in a an uninspired game which they should easily have won. Joe Chambers and James Wallis did combine well for Wallis to score, centre Marc Yeates playing in the pack scored a try and he was one of many Tows players playing ‘out of position’. Tows did finish the game strongly with Austen Wheldon slotting two conversions.
Next week: Tows have a League fixture away to Lutterworth. Kick Off – 3.00pm
Old Laurentians RFC ‘B’ XV 25Pts vs Towcestrians RFC ‘B’ XV 16Prs
The mix of Tows 3rds and 2nds travelled to OL’s and came unstuck in a rare non-league defeat. An Alan Chapman try and one conversion and 3 penalties from Darren Harrison bringing them up short.
