Recent Fixtures
The past fortnight has seen the Garioch 1st XV come away with some more positive results. The first was a narrow win by 12-8 against Huntly in difficult wet and cold conditions and the second was a 64-0 victory over Peterhead last weekend. This means that the team remains undefeated so far this season and another step closer to achieving our ultimate goal.

Fixture - 7th November 2009
This weekend Garioch are at home in both grades with the 1st XV facing Shetland, while the 2nd XV will be playing the Mackie 2nd XV. Both games are sure to be hotly contested and it would be great to have all players available to ensure that both teams fulfil these fixtures. For the 1st XV, this is a vital game to consolidate our place on top of the league while for the 2nds it will be a good opportunity to build on the hard work done earlier in the season after having a few weeks off.
**Please note: 1st XV kick off at 12pm, 2nd XV TBA.
As usual, it would be great to see everyone down at training this week to prepare for the weekend.
UNDER 18s
We still have plans to get and Under 18 team playing fixtures in the near future. In order to get this underway, we need a few more players to join to get a full squad together and ready to play. The lads who have been training already are doing a great job and are improving with each session. In addition, Alan Elphinstone has come on board and offered to help coach while Mark Roy has kindly offered his time to manage this team.
Please be sure to direct any players who you think may be interested down to training or pass on my contact details.
MOVEMBER
Movember has finally arrived and there are 9 members of the 1st XV who will be growing their moustache in order to raise awareness for men's health issues, in particular prostate cancer. We would really appreciate it if members of the club could get behind this by making a donation to this cause and help raise some funds. In order to donate online search for the ‘Garioch' team after following this link: http://uk.movember.com/donate/
We will also be trying to raise some funds this weekend at the post-match function at Edwards. It would be great if everyone could stay around to help us with this while watching the Autumn Internationals. More details will follow so please keep your eye on the website.
We look forward to seeing everyone down at training this week or on Saturday at the game.
Cheers,
Ev and Reg.
