Following the first XV heroics of last week we are still not safe and need one more point to make sure we stay in Midlands 1 – our goal for the season. Crazy but true but the likelihood is that one or more of the teams below us will drop points. We have now beaten four of the top five in our last five starts and we have the fifth, Luctonians, in the last game of the season on 19th April, the day of the Former Players Lunch (guest speaker Darren Garforth) – suggest you book yourself in as it looks like being a good day with many of our talented colts performing music after the game and, if he will come, the one and only Andy Honess!
Next week (12 April) the ones are away at Peterborough who are unfortunately right in the mix for relegation.
The current games scheduled for this weekend are
Our second XV v Market Bosworth – to be played at the Cow Patch, 3pm kick off.
A highly entertaining Si Bladon Select versus an Andy Clarke select as the main attraction on the first XV pitch, kick off 3pm. It is rumored that both captains have some nifty looking ringers up their sleeve so should be a good afternoons entertainment.
If this does not tickle your fancy then the Heineken Cup might with London Irish v Perpignan @ 15:00 and Gloucester v Munster @ 17:30, both on Sky.
Our colts reward for defeating Earlsdon in the Warwickshire Colts Cup is a difficult looking game against OC’s Coventry in the semi final and this is to be played (to be confirmed) on Tuesday night (8th April) under the lights at OC’s.
On Sunday it is the Heineken Cup again with Saracens v Ospreys @ 12:30 and Toulouse v Cardiff Blues @ 15:00.
On Friday (4th April) night there is the draw for the 200 club and here is a message from our leader:
