Supermarine Ladies travelled to Bristol for their 3rd league game of the season, having 1 win and 1 loss behind them Marine were determined to make their mark.
Marine played in favourable conditions in the first half, playing downhill with the wind at their backs. They capitalised on this, starting strong and scoring 2 tries in the first 5 minutes. The forwards pack did well in the scrums, turning many over allowing Marine to be in the driving seat to put more points on the board. Supermarine controlled the first half putting 29 points on the board. The backs made some good runs, making space and exploiting gaps in the Old Reds defence.
The second half saw Old Reds fight back, Marine lost switched and play turned scrappy. A series of injuries interrupted the flow of the game, and it was only until the last 15 minutes of the second half that Marine got back in control and put away a try with some great running from Vicky White down the wing.
Next Sunday, 1st Nov, Marine play St. Mary's Old Boys at home.
