Garioch vs Banff
Last Saturday, Garioch travelled to Duff House to face Banff. In what was a fairly scrappy affair, the 1st XV ran out victors 29-5. Fairly ordinary weather conditions and a solid Banff side ensured that is was not as free flowing as we would have liked, but it was good to come away with a win. It was certainly a more physical game than we have faced so far this season with a number of players nursing some bumps and bruises after the game. While it has been a very good start to the season, there are still plenty of aspects of our game which we need to work on so that we can continue to get good results.

Fixtures - 10th October 2009
This weekend Deeside travels to Kellands Park to take on the 1st XV. Deeside are sitting third on the table and will be looking to come away with a victory in order to push themselves further up the league standings. With this in mind, we will need to be on our game in order to further consolidate after some good victories in the past weeks.
Ellon 2nds will also be travelling to Kellands Park to play our 2nd XV. The seconds have been putting together some strong performances so far this season and will be looking to continue this on Saturday. It would be great to have everyone available this weekend for another home ‘double header'.
UNDER 18s
A recent surge in the number if Under 18 players attending training has led us to be looking to get a side together to play some fixtures. It has been great to have had a core group of about 10 players at training each week working hard on their skills. We only need a few more players to commit in order to get a side prepared to play some fixtures. If you know anyone who may be interested, be sure to direct them down to training or pass on my contact details to them. This age group is vital in order to ensure that Garioch can continue to perform well in the seniors in years to come.
