Gloucester have refused to make any comment on speculation that England centre Mike Tindall has been arrested for drink driving. The incident is supposed to have taken place on Saturday after he had spent the day with his partner Zara Phillips.

Reports suggest that Tindall was stopped on the M4 motorway for speeding where he then failed a breath test. The World Cup winner suffered a bruised liver in the opening game of the 6 Nations against Wales and has not played since.

A statement from Kingsholm, home of Gloucester RFC, said: "Gloucester Rugby is aware of a police incident involving Mike Tindall on Saturday. Until the full facts have been established neither the player or the club will be making any further comments at this time."
