Last weekend saw Camp Hill Ladies return from the Christmas break to
face the Irish Exiles in a friendly. The Chargers started well showing
off the power of their forwards with a driving maul from behind the 22
resulting in a try and conversion for captain Becci Lewis in the opening
quarter. Camp Hill managed another try shortly afterwards with
Lucy Pollard running down the left hand side of the pitch. The Exiles
answered back with two tries themselves as a result of quick thinking
and strong running. The second half highlighted how tight the contest
was with a try from both Camp Hill and Exiles resulting in a final
score of 21 - 21 in what was a very physical encounter for both sides.
This Sunday sees Camp Hill Chargers travel to face Waterloo in the first
league fixture of the year whilst Camp Hill Crusaders face Stockwood
Park away in the cluster league.
