Towcester flew out of the traps against Coalville and notched up 19 points in as many minutes to leave their guests reeling.

Skipper Liam Wilkinson crossed after five minutes and a Chrissie George break put in full back Matt Yuill moments later.

George, restored as Towcester fly half after seeing off an injury niggle, took command of the game from his berth at No 10.

Tows looked in complete control, running at their visitors at every opportunity.

Spreading the ball quickly, the attack found Wilkinson out wide who cantered in behind the posts.

Yuill added his second conversion and Tows were 19 points up with the second quarter still beckoning.

Coalville looked shellshocked but managed to regain their composure and pegged Tows back into their own half.

The visitors wheeled a scrum which allowed visiting scrum half Matt Twigg to race down the right touchline to score.

After the break, Tows replied with the move of the game, the ball being flipped between forwards and backs and centre Dave Williams being involved twice. The ball eventually popped up for wing forward Dan Taylor to score.

Tows switched off at the restart – the third time this season – and Coalville fly half Billy Measures was ushered through for a soft try.

A Yuill penalty stretched the Tows lead but Coalville came back once again as Sam Mason charged down a clearance kick for a converted try.

With the score standing at 34-19, James Falvey came off the bench and made an immediate impact, finishing another flowing move.

A final penalty from Yuill left the final score at 42-19 for Tows to take home five points from their second Midlands 1 East win.
