Your News Nottingham ready to continue in winning ways

Following last weekend’s win against Moseley, Nottingham Rugby are looking to build on the momentum and claim victory at Meadow Lane on Friday when they face Esher.

The Green and Whites will be led by captain Craig Hammond as they bid for their first home win of the season and confidence is high.

Friday night matches always prove to be popular at Meadow Lane and the team will be hoping to capitalise on their recent strong performances.

Nottingham’s Director of Rugby Glenn Delaney said: “It’s great to get started with a good performance and a win, now is the opportunity to build on it and continue to improve.

“Friday night at home is always a highlight and we can’t wait to go out there and compete. The key to being successful against Esher will be maintaining structure on the game. We want gain lines defined and then we can play at our tempo.”

Jonny Harris is returning to Nottingham while Michael Holford is on loan to Leicester Tigers. Players unavailable for selection due to injury are Matt Parr, Andrew Savage, Nic Rouse, Tim Streather and Jack Cobden.

Tickets are available on the gate priced at just £18 for adults, £13 for concessions and £4 for under 16s. Kick-off is scheduled for 7.45pm.

Following the match against Esher on Friday the team will be back in training for their next home match against Doncaster Knights in the British and Irish Cup on Wednesday 21st September.
