Rugby returns to Glasshouse Lane this weekend (Sat) with a pre season 10’s tournament involving six sides – KRFC (x2), Nuneaton Old Eds, Keresley, Pinley and Old Laurentians. The action kicks off at 2pm and will be on the main pitch.
Also on the telly at the club this Saturday are the warm up World Cup games as well as South Africa and New Zealand.
It is not too late to book in for the Sporting Dinner on the 2nd Sept and if you fancy this and are not yet booked then contact Bruce Doe (bruce.doe@btinternet.com). The new web site will be launched on this night.
Please also remember the first league game on 3rd Sept v Old Halesonians, ko 3pm. On the Sunday afternoon the Kenilworth Barbarians mark their debut in a game against Princethorpe College Former Pupils in the Alex Wallis Memorial match.
There is a continuing problem with rabbits at both the Cow Patch and the first XV pitch. If you wish permission to shoot them on either ground then please contact me and I will issue the appropriate authority. You must not shoot without this!
It is also time you were thinking of paying your subs and a form is enclosed for you to set up a standing order for the new rates. Please note that the new membership categories and subscriptions are now in place as agreed and voted on at the AGM. A letter is being issued to all existing VP’s advising them of the new rate for a VP and the benefits on offer. On receipt of your subscription members will be issued with a card that is proof of membership and can be topped up with money for use for purchases at the bar. Further details of this scheme will be issued shortly.
I also enclose the formal notice for the Six Nations internationals giving guidance on how to apply for tickets.
The latest fixture list for all teams is also enclosed.
