Fijian flyer Rupeni Caucaunibuca looks set to fly into the UK next week for a trial with Leicester Tigers. The 28 year old star who was formerly contracted to Agen in France has been amongst the rumours floating around Welford Road this season. The winger looks set to leave Fiji for a flight bound for England but has apparently been waiting for the correct paperwork to arrive before he left. The Fiji Times reported yesterday that a visa had been granted from the High Commission in Suva.
The Tigers have been looking for a world class winger to add to their squad and Caucau is number one on their wish list. However, he has a past littered with indiscipline and this is unlikely to be allowed by new head coach Meyer at the Leicester club. He has even been banned for the consumption of cannabis in recent seasons.
With his indiscipline and tendency for odd behaviour, the Tigers will want to have a good look at him before offering him any contracts to sign.
