STAGS STEAL THE SHOW
The Stags continued their run of home form to come out on top against Hereford for a second time this season . Robinson scored his first try from the kick off and his second came five minutes later after an immense drive from the increasingly organised and effective Stags pack. Not to be outdone, Whiteman added the Stag’s third with a run on the left wing; breaking after a well executed maul had pushed Hereford deep into their half.
With possession under control in the forwards and an organised defence making their tackles, the Stags increased the pressure on the visitors and added two further tries in the half. Hereford ended the half with a try as just reward for their hard work but they struggled to match the powerful Stags attack.
The second half started with more woe for Hereford when a promising backline move was ended with an interception from Robinson who then ran in a try. He added his second of the half after collecting a loose Hereford kick as they tried to push out of defence.
The visitors were made to work hard for their second try after being held up on the Stags five yard line but they managed to earn a penalty and ran the ball over from a tap. Whiteman finished the game with the final Stags try and three conversions from Atkins sealed a fine performance from the whole squad.
