A bumper crowd is expected at Damson Park this Saturday (19th February Kick Off 2pm) as the Bees welcome local rivals and top of the table Worcester Warriors, in what will be the last game of “Stage 1” of the 2010/11 RFU Championship season.

Both sides will be heading for the end of season Playoffs – albeit at other ends of the spectrum, with Worcester bidding for an immediate return to the Aviva Premiership via the Promotion Playoffs and Bees set for another Relegation dogfight.

Bees now know that they will be joined in the Relegation Playoffs by Moseley, Esher and Plymouth Albion and a win against the leaders on Saturday would mean that they would be able to carry forward an extra point into the final round of six matches. Worcester Warriors, who started their Championship campaign with a 48-03 victory against the Bees back in August, are sure to want to take their tally of points for the season over the 100 mark.

Although a limited number of tickets will be available on the gate, spectators from both Clubs are being urged to pre-purchase tickets in advance.

“It is certainly likely to be a bumper crowd and everyone at the Club is really looking forward to the visit of league-leaders Worcester and their many fans to Damson Park this Saturday” said Bees’ Operations Director Louise Ford. “We have a small ground with limited capacity and parking, so I would urge supporters to pre-purchase their tickets, make there way to Damson Park by public transport if possible and make sure they arrive early, particularly with an earlier than usual kick off time of 2pm. We’ve got lots of extra catering facilities lined up for the game, so fans won’t go hungry or thirsty.”

Tickets can be purchased by ringing the Club’s on 0121 705 0409 or emailing Ben Seifas at ben.seifas@beesrugby.com .Ticket prices are £15 for Adults, £10 for Concessions and £5 for Children, with further details available on the Club’s website www.beesrugby.com .

The Club has also teamed up with Solihull NHS Trust to help promote their “Time to Quit” campaign, with Stop smoking advisors from the service at the match on Saturday to give free advice ahead of National No Smoking Day on 9th March.
